Many people feel that there must be something wrong with the products available at flooring liquidators, but this is not true. They are able to offer their reduced prices because of several factors. First, these stores handle a large volume of orders, which allows them to obtain manufacturer discounts. Second, a liquidator store will not have fancy displays, lighting or professional brochures. Reducing overhead allows them to make a profit while still charging less. Finally, they often sell discontinued colors or product lines. This means that the quantities may be limited and would not be suitable for larger projects.
When shopping a flooring liquidator, keep in mind that they almost always running special offer and that the stock will rotate frequently. Unlike a large home improvement store like Home Depot, the inventory will vary greatly from store to store; therefore, it may take some shopping around to find the desired product.
